Psychology Service

The Australian Psychology Society (APS) defines psychology as a science that examines the human mind and its wide-ranging functions and influences. NPBS employs gold standard research approaches to advances our understanding of human emotion, personality, intelligence, memory, perception, cognition, attention, and motivation, as well as the biological processes that drive these human functions and behaviours. In essence, the psychologists and provisional psychologists at NPBS assess individuals and groups to better understand how people, communities and society’s function and ways to help them thrive.

For persons of all ages, our psychologists provide specialized examination, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health, behavioral, and emotional issues.

We are constantly improving our processes to keep in line with new research that emerges. Our processes are guided by peak bodies who have conducted extensive literature reviews and have provided recommendations to providers.

NDIS

We are a registered NDIS provider. We work with participants with NDIS funding for “Improved Relationships” and “Improved Daily Living”. We work closely with the participant, their families and support network, to develop a plan that can be followed to ensure a reduction of behaviours of concern, a reduction of restrictive practices, and improve their quality of life.
